It takes place in Spokane, but here's an event you may want to check out if you don't have plans this weekend. On Sunday, July 11, Howard Street from Riverfront Park to Corbin Park will be closed to automobile traffic for the first ever 'Spokane Summer Parkways' event.
The road will be open to folks doing non-motorized events, such as bicycling, walking, roller blading and skating, skateboarding, etc. There will also be physical fitness activities like yoga, Zumba, Hula Hoops, jump rope, hacky sack, and martial arts offered free along the course to encourage a healthy lifestyle for everyone.
Here's an article in today's Inlander about Spokane Summer Parkways. Come check it out if you can.
